Gates Pond Resevoir Fishing Report

Small pond on the Hudson/Berlin line. Only shore fishing and only Hudson residents with special permit( It cost $1.00 at DPW) Not sure what is in here for fish but there is not alot of cover to reach from shore. Brought my two youngest, they fished with worms and bobber, I tried everything in my box. Lots of blue gill, my daughter landed the largest blue gill I have ever seen. I don't have scale but it was easily over a pound. I felt bad later I didn't get it weighed, last years youth gold pin for sunfish was 1 1/2 lbs. Good day when the kids are catching and want to go out again.
